Managing Director, Humenergi Uganda Limited
Dear Partners and Friends,
Humenergi Uganda Limited was created with a clear and practical purpose: to make finance work for clean energy enterprises serving refugee settlements and underserved surrounding areas. Our belief is simple. When responsible finance reaches the right enterprises, energy access becomes more affordable, markets become stronger and communities gain the tools to improve their livelihoods.
Across Uganda’s refugee settlements and underserved surrounding areas, we see entrepreneurs, households and community institutions working with courage and creativity. Yet many of the enterprises that can serve these markets face working capital constraints, limited inventory, weak systems and insufficient technical support. Humenergi is designed to address these barriers through fit-for-purpose finance and hands-on capacity building.
Our approach is commercially disciplined and impact-led. We finance enterprises that demonstrate need, capacity and commitment to serve underserved markets. We combine lending with technical assistance, portfolio monitoring and partnerships so that growth is responsible, measurable and sustainable.
For refugees, energy can mean opportunity, safety, study time, business opportunity and hope. For host communities, it can mean stronger local enterprise, better services, more jobs and shared prosperity. For the environment, it means cleaner technologies, reduced pressure on natural resources and greater climate resilience.
As Managing Director, I am committed to building Humenergi as a trusted, transparent and results-driven institution. We welcome collaboration with energy companies, refugee-led organisations, development partners, investors, government agencies and community leaders who share our vision of inclusive clean energy access.
Together, we can power enterprise, opportunity and resilience.
