Micheal Muwonge is an impact finance and investment professional with senior leadership experience across Africa, specializing in blended finance, SME investment, structured lending and the mobilization of capital into underserved and frontier markets.
As Managing Director of Humenergi Uganda Limited, Micheal leads the development and deployment of innovative financing solutions for clean energy enterprises serving refugee settlements and host communities. His work focuses on bridging the gap between development funding and commercial capital by structuring practical financial products that enable energy companies and locally led enterprises to convert market opportunities, including results-based financing, into scalable and sustainable businesses.
Micheal’s professional focus is on demonstrating that impact and financial sustainability can reinforce each other using disciplined investment structures to channel capital towards enterprises that expand energy access, strengthen local businesses, create livelihoods and build more resilient communities. His experience spans investment management, agricultural and SME finance, supply-chain finance, portfolio management and institutional development. Before joining Humenergi, Micheal held senior investment and executive positions with Bamboo Capital Partners, SME Impact Fund and FACTS Africa, working across East Africa and wider African markets.
Jessica Nalubega is a finance, risk, compliance and business development professional with over 15 years of experience across development finance, SME and agribusiness finance, credit management, ESG and impact investing. She has expertise in credit, financial analysis, business development, portfolio management, risk and compliance.
Jessica currently serves as the Risk and Compliance Advisor at Humenergi Uganda Limited, supporting the development and implementation of risk, compliance and credit frameworks for financing clean energy enterprises serving refugee settlements and host communities. She also contributes to structuring practical financing solutions that enable businesses to access working capital and growth capital.
Before joining Humenergi, Jessica worked at FACTS Africa, focusing on agribusiness and SME finance, business development, and supply-chain financing to help enterprises secure suitable capital and strengthen their financial and operational capacity. Prior to this, she gained banking experience at Stanbic Bank Uganda.
Jessica is passionate about impact finance, sustainable finance, ESG, business growth, and financial inclusion. She is particularly interested in using responsible capital to help enterprises expand clean energy access, create livelihoods, strengthen local economies, and deliver measurable social, economic, and environmental impact.
